There are a lot of snoring aids on the market and this can be
quite confusing to a consumer. The reason that you'll struggle
choosing the right one is that you don't know why you snore in
the first place. It is hard to find the right solution to a
problem without an understanding of the issue that you have.
You might feel like you're stupid or uneducated, but this is a
phenomenon that a lot of people suffer from. No one is taught
about this in school and it isn't discussed to you by a parent.
Everyone in society is just as clueless as you are. I'm going
to help you find the snoring aids that work.
I'm sure that you've heard of the snoring pillow. It is a
simple pillow that is designed to specifically target this
issue. This is a product that doesn't work and it should be
pretty easy to identify why. The fact that you can sleep in
many different positions should really prove that this isn't
going to do anything for you. Sometimes you'll be on your back,
side, sideways, etc. How can a pillow help you stop snoring if
you're constantly sleeping on it in different
ways?
There is another type of snoring aid that is known as the mouth
guard. It is a very simple device that you put in your mouth
before you go to bed. It's just like a sports mouth guard. I'm
going to put this particular device under the category of yes
and no. It does work, but the design makes it a poor choice.
The reason that you snore is due to the position of your jaw.
When you use a mouth guard it helps to causes you to bite down
on the guard and this controls the position of your jaw as you
sleep. It's really an ingenious type of design when you think
about it. The problem with it is that your mouth tends to fill
up with saliva as you sleep. You'll literally wake up in the
middle of the night choking and coughing on this buildup of
liquid.
The last of the snoring aids that I want to show to you is a
jaw supporter. This works like the mouth guard, except that it
is something that you put over your head (rather than in your
mouth). This does in fact work because it helps to control the
position of your jaw, but you don't have to worry about any
buildup of saliva or anything like this. This means that you
will be able to sleep the entire night without any snoring
interruptions.
